Being a volunteer fire fighter is an extremely rewarding experience. Fire fighters make a
difference in the community they serve. A fire fighter's service to the community of Spring
Branch is beyond words. Fire fighters come to the aid of persons in times of their greatest
need, life and death often times in the balance. Spring Branch fire fighters have and will
continue to promote the safety of all persons in the community.
Are you interested in becoming a volunteer fire fighter?
Requirements:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid drivers license
- Submit an application to the Spring Branch Fire District
- Pass a physical agility exam and medical physical
- Not have a criminal record
- Complete an introductory fire academy taught by Spring Branch Fire District upon completion of the above
- Be a team player with a service oriented spirit
- Possess the ability to work well with others, working in pairs or teams
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Certain laws prohibit speaking about emergency situations and circumstances.
- Possess the ability to handle seeing and experiencing traumatic, violent and emotional situations
We are now an approved training facility through the Texas Commission on Fire Protection and are able to teach
in the areas of Basic Fire Suppression, Driver/Operator, Fire Investigator, Fire Instructor I, II, and III,
and Fire Officer I, and II.

Tuesdays and Thursdays: 6pm - 10pm
Saturdays: 8am - 5pm
$2500 with your bunker gear / $3000 with loaner bunker gear
