The Spring Branch Fire Department was founded in 1960 by community volunteers who realized the need for an emergency response organization. The department has become a landmark in the area due to the countless hours of volunteer efforts and dedicated service they provided to the organization. Spring Branch is located in the Hill Country just north of San Antonio. Our ESD "district" provides 125 square miles of service to suburban and rural communities.

As first responders, our department provides service out of two stations and utilizes 11 apparatus. We are prepared to respond to calls involving water rescue, vehicle collisions, and all fire emergencies from structure to wildland. In 2008, we answered 864 calls and expect to surpass 1,000 in 2008. Our community is quickly growing and we are dedicated to proactively acquiring state-of-the-art equipment and training for our personnel and volunteers.

The fire fighters of Spring Branch diligently and compassionately protect our community residents, their property, and the millions of visitors that pass through the Spring Branch area each year. Each member of the department believes in the honor, ethical values, teamwork and duty of our calling. Further, we stand ready to support and assist other surrounding medical and fire service organizations in accomplishing their missions.
